KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17 — Several efforts involving cooperation between Asean countries are being implemented to promote halal-related products and services, according to the Investment, Trade, and Industry Ministry (Miti).

KUALA LUMPUR, March 23 — A new mechanism or process needs to be implemented to speed up the issuance of halal certificates, which currently takes about nine months due to several constraints, including bureaucracy, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 23 — Malaysia’s halal industry is projected to expand to US$113.2 billion (RM501.4 billion) by 2030, with a gross domestic product (GDP) contribution of 8.1 per cent by 2025 through the Halal Industry Master Plan 2030 (HIMP 2030).
